Karafuru Visuals is a boutique creative studio founded by filmmaker Joshua Kok.

Karafuru meaning colorful, reflects the studio’s belief that beauty often lives in the ordinary, and every story carries its own shades of truth and emotion.

Working mainly through documentary with film as a medium, Karafuru Visuals focuses on stories that grow from places and people - artists, traditions, and everyday lives that quietly shape the world around us. The studio’s work values patience, honesty, and the craft of looking closely which allow moments to unfold in their natural rhythm.

My goal is to highlight the often-overlooked contributions of senior artists and craftsmen through their stories in hopes of preserving their legacies.
